Mow ... or Less
If you've been reading for a while, you probably know how much I love to mow. No, seriously, I do. There's just something about going out there and zoning out, yet being productive at the same time. But if you checked out my yard right now, you'd never know that mowing makes me happy. Because it looks like the grass is plotting a hostile takeover, y'all. It's not that I don't want to get it taken care of, it's just that a set of circumstances has prevented me from doing my lawnmower-ly duties of late. Here ... I've drawn you a set of pictures so you can see exactly why the yard looks so shaggy.
So see? TOTALLY notreally my fault. What?? I can't control the weather or my impulses which led me to take a weekend trip to Chicago.
So see? TOTALLY not
It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

... LOVE IT!!! :) I also love to mow for some strange reason...
ReplyDeleteYou are a Paint genius! Enjoy the mow when the weather clears up. :)
ReplyDeleteI love to mow because, like you said, you are being productive, I can listen to my mp3 and don't have to be responsible for the children for an hour. :) :) :) It's the rain's fault. Here too.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I totally agree with you. Mowing is awesome and I will do that any day to get out of changing a diaper or doing the dishes.
ReplyDeleteI swear, we're dealing with the same thing! Life keeps getting in the way of yard maintenance!
ReplyDeleteTell me about it, our dandelions are taking over the grassy areas.
ReplyDeleteI think I might have to take up mowing, since everyone talks about how much they love it. But lawnmowers give me anxiety (think pediatric emergency room), so I'm not sure I'd derive the same pleasure out of it as everyone else seems to.
ReplyDeleteToo bad for me, mowing is my husband's only "chore" around here... even though I like to mow. Love your drawings too!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind mowing so long as it's not overly hot. When it's overly hot, I feel like I'm about to die.
ReplyDeleteI love the illustrations! That must have taken forever! :-)
ReplyDeleteThese illustrations are the cutest! This is totally not your fault, you can't control the weather. :)

our lawn got mowed yesterday and it poured today - I don't usually get as lucky for it to happen in that order!
ReplyDeleteYou never fail to impress! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteI Love...nay L-O-V-E your pictures! I don't know HOW you accomplish such geniusy drawings, on the computer, but they're all kinds of awesome! Seriously, they told the story so well! Sorry bout the yard, 'cause I know...nothing worse, or trashier than scraggy, shaggy yards. Hope you're able to get 'er done soon.
ReplyDeletesomething might just get mowed down tomorrow, and i hope it isn't ME! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will dry up soon and you can get out there.......or you could just bale it and sell it for hay! ;o) Love the drawings! You always were quite the artist.
ReplyDeleteI just love your pictures! So funny.
ReplyDeleteDude...do you live in Washington state, cause that is so funny. Happens to us every week...bits of sun then lot and lots of rain.
ReplyDeleteLove the art work! I don't mow, thats Mans work ;)
